Adelaide Pilar
EPK
Hailing from Texas and now making waves in Los Angeles, Adelaide Pilar seamlessly
blends her Latina, Mexican American roots with musical prowess as a singer and trumpeter.
With a Master's Degree in Afro-Latin Music and a Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Studies, multiple
music recordings, self-directed and award-winning music videos, and live performances ranging
from stage, television, and large corporations such as Disney and Knott's Berry Farm, she embodies diverse musical traditions and platforms.
RECORDINGS
In 2019, her debut album Reflexiones De Mi Mente showcased a unique perspective, merging
cumbia, funk, reggae, reggaeton, and hip-hop into a resonating sound.
Since then, she has consistently released singles with hits such as “Suavecito Suavecito”, “No
Mames Bro”, “Chonies” and many more.
In 2024, she partnered wth Asdru Sierra (singer/trumpeter from Grammy-Award winning Ozomatli) to create a recording label, Chido Records, and they released their first EP entitled Cumbias For Lovers. This EP featured romantic classics such as Peaches and Herb’s “Reunited” and Parton and Rogers’ “Islands in the Stream,” rearranged with Asdru and Adelaide’s signature urban Cumbia sound.
In 2025, she also collaborated with Ignacio Serricchio on the single release of “Para No Verte Mas”, as well as with Nancy Sanchez, with their original duet “A Woman Like Me,” for which Adelaide also directed the music video for.

MUSIC FILM MAKING
Aside from releasing music recordings, Adelaide has also been producing her own music videos. In 2025, she began entering her films into independent film festivals and has already made a name for herself in the circle of Latine and female filmmakers. With a strong sense of Latino pride, humor, and women's empowerment, five of her videos have been selected and won awards in over 15 festivals. “The Rocky Cumbia” has already been selected for over 11 festivals, “Chonies” just won best music video at the historic Cine Las Americas Independent Film Festival, and her new video “Los Chucos Suaves” has already begun to be selected.
WORK WITH OTHER ARTISTS
Beyond solo efforts, Adelaide flourished with the Grammy Award-winning Mariachi Divas from 2007-2011, gained prominence on LA VOZ Mexico 2018, toured with Andy Grammer in 2022, and collaborated many times with multi-Grammy Award-winning Ozomatli. She’s also performed backup for artists such as Albita, Maluma, La Lupe, Ana Barbara, Barbara Mason, La India, and Lupita Infante. Her album, "The Chingona TakeOver," was created. This event aimed to feature Latina music artists, dancers, fashion designers, female lowriders, and more, and has already achieved great success with future dates already in the calendar.
EVENT/SHOW PRODUCTION
Adelaide is a big fan of cross-pollinating not just with other music artists but with dancers, fashion designers, the classic car community, and other Chicano artists. This passion led to the start of her Chingona TakeOver Events. These productions involve various Latina musicians, dancers, zoot suiters, lowriders, and everything Chingona and are well-received in every location they’ve occurred. Her newest production is Burlesque del Barrio, which is a combination of her live concert of cumbia and Latin rock mixed with live burlesque performances with some of Los Angeles’ best Latina burlesque performers.
